Fairhaven is pleased to introduce another guest blogger, the Design and Colour Consultant from BlueScope, Alison Fenton, as she talks about her experience visiting the latest Merimbula 239 display at Meridian Estate Clyde North.
A warm and inviting home to all that enter, the Merimbula is one of our most popular designs, home to four bedrooms, two living areas, covered outdoor area, study zone and double garage.
The display is the first in Victoria to display COLORBOND® steels new colour, Southerly®, to the roof, gutters, fascia and downpipes.
Southerly® is a cool grey with pale tones providing abundant possibilities to your home, though sits comfortably in the background, creating space for the warmer, earthier colours and materials to maintain the point of focus.
Alison said the floorplan is everything a growing family could need.
“The open-plan design of the main living space creates a sense of calm as it draws you through, inviting you to rest and relax” she said.
For Alison the Range Façade is uplifting, clean and welcoming.
“The rich warmth of the bricks is offset by the cool tones of COLORBOND® steel’s Southerly®, the light-coloured steppers and exposed aggregate driveway.”
Alison commented the pale decking at the centre of the landscape highlights the entrance along with the broad and striking portico, which creates a sense of shelter and protection.
The dark coloured garage door and mulch provides balance and contrast to this façade.
Comprising kitchen, dining, meals & covered outdoor area, the soothing warmth of the light paint palette combined with natural, honey-coloured timber floors and cabinetry. The deeper accent timbers of the feature dining table and lounge elements creates a spacious atmosphere that elevates and inspires.
The Modern Organic style is a sanctuary from the busy events of the outside world.
The colours and materials selected reflect highly sought-after trends that celebrate nature. Warmer, paler tones combined with occasional subtle earthy shades, organic pops, woven ornamental textures, and natural materials.
When used in conjunction with appropriate roof design and insulation, COLORBOND® steel has the potential to improve energy efficiency and thermal comfort. With a Solar Absorptance (SA) rating of 0.40, Southerly® absorbs a low amount of heat from the sun. Low SA roofs help keep the home cooler than a high SA roof. In turn, this can help the owner save on cooling costs and improve summertime thermal comfort1,particularly in warm climates where the cooling load is higher.
Thank you to Alison or taking time to visit the Merimbula display. We have full confidence in recommending roofing made from COLORBOND® steel to all our customers.
